Application

1.Propyl acetate has strong solubility to oil. It can dissolve almost all natural oil except palm oil. To combine with alcohol, the mixed solvent's solubility will be highly enhanced. For example, combined with ethanol, n-propyl acetate can dissolve phthalic acids, which are difficult to be dissolved by other common solvents. It is used as azeotrope in PTA production.
Because n-propyl acetate has low toxicity, it is among few organic solvents that can be used in adhesive of cigarette carton and packet packaging papers.
2.Propyl acetate is used as cleaning agent in electron industry. It has solubility to some metal chlorides.
3.Propyl acetate is a soft Flash Dry. It can be used in flexographic and gravure printing inks.
4.Propyl acetate has slight fruit flavor, smelling pear flavor in dilution. Natural n-propyl acetate exists in banana, tomato and raspberry. So, it is mainly used as essential oil to prepare pear and gooseberry essence. It can also be used as solvent of fruit spices.
